Gulf Coast Messiah Chorus begins rehearsals next week

The Gulf Coast Messiah Chorus will begin rehearsals on Mondays beginning Feb. 15 through March 7. Chorus rehearsals are from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Music Building of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College-Jeff Davis Campus in Gulfport. New singers are welcome and no audition is required. Arts Under the Dome is Saturday in Gulfport

Concert series, Arts Under The Dome, will feature the Celtic band, Mithril, on Saturday at 7 p.m at First United Methodist Church, 15th Street and 24th Avenue in downtown Gulfport.

The group's style has roots in traditional Celtic music but also include influences of American folk and rock, classical, East European and Middle Eastern melodies. The band performs on a variety of traditional Celtic instruments, flute, fiddle, mandolin and guitar. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students. Details: 229-6851 or arts.fumc-gulfport.org.

B.Y.O. Brush Studio hosts new classes, programs

B.Y.O. Brush Studio, 1204 Bienville Blvd. suite 4, Ocean Springs, is holding a variety of classes and camps in February. Programs include: Open Studio, Mardi Gras Art Camp, Star Wars Party and Valentine's Day Date Night.

Artist Milton Williams' work will be featured in Gulfport

Artist Milton Williams, will be showing 33 of his original landscape paintings at the Hancock Bank Building, Great Southern Club in Gulfport on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.

The public is invited to meet the artist and view the paintings. Williams is known for his textured paintings of Live oak trees and demonstrating various acrylic painting techniques in the community. Details: miltpc.com
