West Coast Dance Camp is Jan. 30
Amour Danzar Ballroom, 9355 County Farm Road, Gulfport, is offering a West Coast Dance Camp on Jan. 30.
Lon Wilkinson will teach characteristic styling vs. floor patterns from 2 to 3 p.m.
From 3 to 3:30 p.m., Byron Bellew will teach music theory and musicality.
From 5:30 to 7 p.m. there will be a dinner break, and a dance party follows from 7 to 10 p.m.
The cost of $50 per person includes six hours of dancing and training. Details: 324-3730.
Red-dot sale begins at Gallery 782 in Biloxi
Gallery 782, 782 Water St., Biloxi is hosting a Spot-the-Dot red-dot sale throughout January in lieu of a featured exhibit. The sale will include 2-D and 3-D art, pottery and jewelry. Items marked with red dots will be on sale all month. Details: 436-7782.
Casting call announced for Jackson County film
There will be a full-length feature film titled "Wildflowers -- From Fiction to Film." It is based on Jackson County writer Schledia Benefield's faith-based book. A casting call is planned for 6 to 10 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Gautier Convention Center, 2012 Library Lane, Gautier. Those who audition and are not assigned are welcome to volunteer as extras for various small-crowd scenes.
