Art House presents 'Inner Views' opening reception

Art House, 921 Cash Alley, downtown Ocean Springs, will present the opening reception for "Inner Views" by painter Vanda McCormick on from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. McCormick, of Gulfport, is retired from the Biloxi School District where she taught for 25 years. She has been inspired by the colorful works of the post-Impressionist and Fauvist periods of art. The exhibit will hang through Nov. 25. The Art House is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Details: 875-9285.

Walter Anderson hosts art and musical exhibition

The Walter Anderson Musuem of Art, 510 Washington Ave., Ocean Springs, has teamed with Art Can Change Anything to present "Audio/Visual," an art exhibition that merges visual art with musical inspiration. The show will be 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Guests will listen to the song that inspired the artwork while they are viewing it. All codes will be loaded with the music and a pair of headphones. Cost: $5. Cash bar will be available.

'Still Waters' at Gallery 782 through November

Gallery 782, 782 Water St., Biloxi, will host "Still Waters," a two-person show featuring the work of Julie Boudreaux and Mae Niolet. The show features watercolors on canvas by Niolet and jewelry by Boudreaux. The show will run through November. Details: 436-7782.

Negrotto's Gallery displays "Woodcut Funhouse'

Negrotto's Gallery, 2645 Executive Place, Biloxi, will host "Woodcut Funhouse" by Sean Starwars through Wednesday. The gallery hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Details: 388-8822.

Fall fine art exhibit will hang through Saturday

The Ocean Springs Community Center, Washington Avenue, will host a Fall Fine Art Exhibit and Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The exhibit will feature the work of Ocean Springs Art Association members for the 44th annual OSAA Fall Fine Art Exhibit and Sale.

Meditation watercolor workshop planned in Biloxi

The Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art, 386 Beach Blvd., Biloxi, will host a meditation watercolor workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The workshop features Coast resident Elisa da Silva and her inspiration of natural beauty. Silva uses resources such as water tides, beach sand, wind and Live oaks as subjects for her paintings. The class is designed for ages 12 and older. No experience required. Details: 374-5547.

Weavers, spinners show featured in Pass Christian

The Pass Christian Public Library, 111 Hiern Ave., will host a Dyed-in-the-Wool Weavers and Spinners annual fiber show through Nov. 25. The theme is Believing in Weaving. A selection of hand-woven fiber items will be on display. Details: 452-4596 or 452-7068.
