A band member's injury has forced Texas boogie band ZZ Top to postponed its Friday show at the Beau Rivage.
Beau Rivage officials said the show has been tentatively rescheduled for Oct. 21. Tickets purchased for Friday’s show will be honored at the rescheduled show. Those who will not be able to attend will get a refund.
ZZ Top’s manager Carl Stubner said bassist Dusty Hill was injured before the band’s show at the Lone Star Events Center in Lubbock. Hill’s injury has sidelined all tour dates that were scheduled through May 7.
“Dusty was suited up and ready to go when he tripped on a step while on his way to the stage for the start of the show,” Stubner said. “It was very dark back there and the step — really a half-step — wasn’t lit so there’s no way he could’ve seen it or prevented this, but that’s water under the bridge.”
