Christmas events on the Coast this weekend

Boat parades, Christmas parades, musical events -- we have rounded up some of the top Christmas events on the Coast this weekend. Enjoy!

FRIDAY

Ocean Springs' Holiday Open House: 10 a.m. Dec. 4-5, downtown Ocean Springs. Hands-on activities, participation from local businesses, featured artists and demonstrations, refreshments, vendors and more. The Ocean Springs Municipal Library is participating from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Holiday bazaar: 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Dec. 4 and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 5, Bay-Waveland Yacht Club, 666 N. Beach Blvd. Bring donations for the Food Pantry. Features 30 vendors and dine with Ladies Auxiliary for lunch, dinner and drinks.

Holiday Tasting and Recipe Swap: 3 p.m., Lucedale-George County Public Library, 507 Oak St. Bring samples of a favorite holiday treat, snack or dessert (with printed recipe to share). Registration suggested. Details: 947-2123.

Fourth annual Reindeer Fun Run and Gulfport Harbor Lights Winter Festival: 4 p.m., Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, 246 Dolan Ave., Gulfport. Cost: $20 adult entry fee for run and $10 children preregistration; $30 day of event. Walking, jogging and pushing a stroller in 5K fun run. Coastal Christmas Show: 4-6:30 p.m., Art House, 921 Cash Alley, Ocean Springs. Features the work of 29 artists/members of the Ocean Springs Art Association Co-op. Details: 875-9285.

30th annual Christmas in the Pass: 5-9 p.m. Dec. 4, War Memorial Park, Pass Christian. Christmas tree lighting, arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus. Follow the town elves and parade to Davis Avenue in downtown Pass Christian for the Holiday Open House, street fair, live music, photos with Santa, children's activities and an Arts & Crafts Village with almost 100 vendors. On Dec. 5, pet photos with Santa will be available 2-4 p.m., with a pet parade at 1 p.m. The annual Pass Under the Lights, a 5K run and 1/2-mile fun run will begin at 5 p.m. Live music will take place at multiple locations throughout town late into the night. Holiday Pub and Restaurant Crawl 2015: 5-11 p.m., downtown Biloxi tour for adults. Participating businesses will have food and appetizer specials as well as door prizes.

Serata Italiana annual Holiday Dinner and Dance: 5:30 p.m. cocktails and 6 p.m. dinner followed by program, Keesler Air Force Base, Bay Breeze Event Center, Building 6732, 500 Ploesti Drive, Biloxi. Biloxi Children's Christmas Parade: 6 p.m. Route starts at the Frank G. Gruich Center, 591 Howard Ave., travels west on Howard Avenue, through the Vieux Marche, turns south on Reynoir, east on Jackson, south on Lameuse Street and ends at the Town Green. Details: 388-7170.

Christmas on the Town Green: 6:30-8 p.m., 710 Beach Blvd. This free event will feature the lighting of the Christmas tree by Mayor Andrew "FoFo" Gilich, Santa Claus will give away goodies and chocolate will be available while participants decorate the tree.

The Wonder of Christmas presentation: 7 p.m. Dec. 4-6, Cedar Lake Christian Assembly, 11555 Cedar Lake Road, Biloxi. Traditional carols, Big band Christmas medleys and more.

Kids for Christmas: 7 p.m., Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, 246 Dolan Ave., Gulfport. Presented by Orange Grove Rotary Club and WINGS. Program will present holiday musical event featuring comedy, songs and dance. Proceeds benefit needy families. Cost: $5 ticket donations. Details: 897-6039.

Eighth annual Bay St. Louis Christmas parade: 11 a.m. starts at Necaise and Main to Beach Boulevard, ends at The Depot District with 4th annual Snowflakes and Sugarplums Festival, Bay St. Louis. Marching bands, fire trucks, classic cars, floats and more.

Snowflakes Sugar and Plums: Noon-5 p.m., Bay St. Louis Depot District. Live music, food vendors, Christmas attractions, Santa Claus and more.

D'Iberville Town Green lighting: 5:30 p.m., Santa arrives, D'Iberville Town Green. Presented by D'Iberville/St. Martin Area Chamber of Commerce and city of D'Iberville.

Christmas on the Water Boat Parade: 6 p.m., lineup at Biloxi Channel Marker 5 south of Lighthouse. After parade, the annual fireworks show will celebrate the parade's 30 years. Details and registration: 388-7170 or 617-3112.

Moss Point Christmas by the River: 6 p.m., city docks, downtown. Boats line up at 5 p.m. at Escatawpa River west of Mississippi 613 bridge. After lighted boat parade, the festivities will end with a fireworks show.

Christmas in the Quarters Gala: 7 p.m., 19th Street Community Center, Gulfport. The program will recognize all 33rd Avenue alumni, former teachers, band members, athletes and more. Reception to follow. Donations accepted for the placement of the 33rd Avenue High School plaque.

Toys for Tots Bicycle Ride: 7 a.m., Tri-Hard Sports, 1016 Government St., Ocean Springs. Bring an unwrapped toy; participate in 11-mile bicycle ride over the Biloxi Bay Bridge to the Biloxi Lighthouse and back to Tri-Hard Sports. Refreshments.
