Halloween weekend is finally here

Boo! It's Halloween weekend.

Halloween is Saturday, but the fun started weeks ago on the Coast with trunk-or-treat events, costume parties, haunted houses, festivals and more.

There are still plenty more events today and Saturday to help you celebrate the ghoulish season.

Below we list all the Halloween and fall festival events we could scare up for your fiendish pleasure.

ToDAY

YMCA Fall Fest: 5-7 p.m., across the street at Broome's parking lot, Ocean Springs. Costume contest, hayride, boo bus, cooking contest, candy and more. Details: 875-5050.

Trunk or Treat: 5-7 p.m., 14190 Dedeaux Road, Gulfport. Funnel cakes, bouncy houses, train rides, costume contest and more. Concessions are not included with wristband. Temple Christian Academy students and one parent are free. Additional wristbands can be bought $5.

Trunk and Treat: 5-7 p.m., Fleitas Avenue Sportsplex, Pass Christian. Sponsored by Pass Christian Police Department. Hay ride with donation of canned goods for Pass Christian Food Pantry. Details: 452-3301.

Free Friday Night: 5-8 p.m., Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, 246 Dolan Ave., Gulfport.

Third annual Halloween at Hiller Park: 5:30-7:30 p.m., Hiller Park Softball Fields, Biloxi. Details: 388-7170.

Southern Promiseland Corn Maze: 6-9 p.m. Oct. 30 and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Oct. 31, 1212 Raygan Lane, Kiln. Details: 255-4866.

House of Payne: 6-10 p.m. Oct. 30-31, haunted house on Kajja Drive at the Bobby Eleuterius Recreational Complex behind the D'Iberville Elementary School.

Sixth annual Night of Horror Haunted House: 7 p.m. Oct. 30, 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Oct. 31, Pascagoula Recreation Center, 2935 Pascagoula St. Cost: $5, all ages welcome. Details: 938-2356.

Halloween Night at the Museum: 7 p.m., Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum, Biloxi. Live music, costume contest with cash prizes. Cost: $30 per person and $50 couples. Details: 435-6320.

SATURDAY

Halloween masquerade ball: 9 p.m.-1 a.m., Bay St. Louis Community Center, Blaize Avenue. Silent auction, costume contest, tarot card readers, food tasting, cash bar and more. Cost: $40 in advance and $50 at the door. Hosted by Hope Haven Children Services. Details: 467-6395.

Halloween Fun Festival: 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, 246 Dolan Ave., Gulfport. Games, face painting and more. Included in museum admission. Details: 897-6039.

Fall Festival: 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m., Biloxi Town Green. Kids activities, costume contest, live music and movie. Food costs will vary. Sponsored by Mosaic Church. Details: 215-0275.

Fall Community Empowerment Festival: Noon-5 p.m., Praise Temple Full Gospel Baptist Church of Biloxi, 643 Division St. Will consist of 5,000-pound grocery giveaway, free lunch for participants, clothing giveaway, health fair, empowerment stations and games for children. Details: 324-2876.

Halloween Bash -- Trick-or-Treating: 4-7 p.m., Coleman Avenue, Waveland. Cake walk, face painting, haunted house and more. Designed for children. Hosted by City of Waveland.

Fall Festival: 4:30-7:30 p.m., Corner Stone Baptist church, 1410 E. Second St., Pass Christian. Trunk or treat, food, crafts and more.

Fall Festival: 5-7 p.m., Escatawpa Baptist Church, 7101 Mississippi 613. Trunk or treat, food and games.

Trick or Treat: 5:30-7:30 p.m., Edgewater Mall, Biloxi. No mask for children 12 and older. Live entertainment.

Trunk or Treat Halloween event: 5:30-7:30 p.m., Bobby Eleuterius Sports Complex, 10278 Kajja Drive, D'Iberville.

Halloween night tour Bay St. Louis: 5:30-8 p.m., Cedar Rest Cemetery, Second Street, Bay St. Louis. Refreshments at 108 Cue St., Sponsored by the Hancock County Historical Society. Proceeds benefit

Church of the Redeemer Trunk or Treat: 6 p.m., 1904 Popp's Ferry Road, Biloxi. Bring your decorated car and hand out candy to the children. All Hallows' Eve Evensong will begin at 7 p.m.

23rd annual Pumpkin Patch: 6-8 p.m., Faithview Baptist Church, Saucier. Games, food and more. Accepting canned food donations for the Saucier Food Pantry. Details: 832-3015.

Trunk or Treat: 6-9 p.m., Beauvoir, The Jefferson Davis Home and Presidential Library, 2244 Beach Blvd., Biloxi. Cost: $5 per car.
