Crawfish Music Festival is back in Biloxi. Here’s what to know
The Crawfish Music Festival is back on the grounds of the Mississippi Coast Coliseum for the 32nd year.
This Biloxi event hasn’t changed all that much since it debuted in 1993, when casinos were new in Biloxi and “Jurassic Park” was the year’s hot movie.
That tradition is what brings families back every year to suck down the hot, spicy crawfish, to ride the rides, play the games, snack on carnival food and settle in to hear the music.
The crawfish are fresh from Quality Poultry & Seafood in Biloxi and come with boiled new potatoes and corn.
Thursday, April 24 is family ride night, with free parking and buy-one-get-one-free armbands. Admission is $10 for anyone 36 inches or taller.
The Crawfish Festival is known for attracting some of the biggest country stars on their way up and favorites, like Bret Michaels, who have played South Mississippi several times.
The headliners are:
Friday — Gavin Adcock, Dillon Carmichael, Sam Donald
Saturday — Puddle of Mudd, Hinder, Marcy Playground, Cowboy Mouth
Sunday — Bret Michaels, Everclear, Sister Hazel
Tickets are available at the Crawfish Festival website.
Great weather is forecast for the festival that goes on rain or shine.
Festival hours are: Thursday fro 5-9 p.m., Friday from 5-11 p.m., Saturday from 1-11 p.m. and Sunday from 1-8 p.m.
