Another country music superstar bringing tour to Mississippi Coast. Here are the details

Tickets are on sale for Dierks Bentley’s Broken Branches Tour and one of those stops will bring the country music superstar to South Mississippi.

The show is at 7 p.m. on Aug. 23 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, and will also feature singer-songwriter Zach Top and The Band Loula.

The tour kicks off May 29 in Austin, Texas, and will end in Michigan, shortly after his Biloxi stop.

“I’m 20(ish) years into doing this,” Bentley said in a statement announcing the tour, “and I’ve seriously never been more excited about a tour.”

He is known for his deep voice and his many hits, like “Somewhere on a Beach,” “What Was I Thinking,” “Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go),”” Burning Man” and ”Come a Little Closer,” which is sure to get the audience in the Coast Coliseum in a sweet mood.

“I’ve got a million ideas for the set list rolling around in my head,” Bentley said. “It’ll be fun to figure out how to make it all come to life with a new album and new production.”

He has 27 singles on Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts, and 18 No. 1 hits.

Tickets went on sale Feb. 21. They start at $45 at Ticketmaster and also are available through several other ticket sites. Also on the schedule at the Coast Coliseum is the Mississippi Crawfish Music Festival, from April 25-27.
