You can buy tickets to see Bobby Flay in South MS. There’s just one big problem with that
Those who watch Iron Chef Bobby Flay on his many Food Network shows no doubt will get a thrill to see tickets for sale to see him live in South Mississippi.
Ticket platforms such as Seat Geek, StubHub and All Events posted tickets for a Bobby Flay show March 20 in Pascagoula.
The show is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Grand Magnolia Ballroom in Pascagoula, according to the websites.
There is a luncheon on the schedule that day, but not with Flay, said Richard Chenoweth, owner of Scranton’s Restaurant and Catering and the Grand Magnolia Ballroom
Check Flay’s schedule through Live Nation and the chef is appearing at the Magnolia Ballroom.
But it’s the at the Magnolia Grand Ballroom at the Choctaw casino in Durant, Oklahoma. That’s a 14,000-square-foot venue and seats about 1,600 people in theater arrangement. The Grand Magnolia in Pascagoula is a much more intimate place for weddings and events.
Tickets for Flay’s show in Pascagoula were listed for $250 and up — but he won’t be there. He’ll be at the Oklahoma casino March 20, where tickets start at $249.
Grand Magnolia Ballroom in Pascagoula does have some big names on its calendar during the “Spring Fling Grammy Gala.” On March 8, Rodney Crowell, who has written 15 songs that reached number one on the country charts, will be singing some of the favorites for fans in Pascagoula. He’s written songs for Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Jimmy Buffett, Bob Seger, Etta James, the Grateful Dead, John Denver and many others.
Mac McAnally returns April 25 to Pascagoula, the birthplace of his former boss Jimmy Buffett. In addition to his sold out solo shows, McAnally also accompanied Buffett in his performance on the beach in Pascagoula in 2015 and Buffett joined McAnally for a show at The Grand Magnolia in 2017. He’s written hits for Kenny Chesney, Alabama and others and Buffett covered many McAnally songs such as “It’s My Job,” and Buffett and McAnally’s rendition of Mac’s song “Back Where I Come From.”
Tickets are available for these Pascagoula shows.
