The poll results are in: Here is the MS Coast’s favorite annual Christmas celebration

In a matter of two years, one MS Coast event has earned the hearts of many.

We recently asked subscribers to vote for their favorite local holiday event. Of nearly two dozen holiday events featured in our poll, a relatively new one swept the hearts of voters.

And the winner is....

Holiday Lights and trains at TrainTastic in Gulfport.

Traintastic received 63% of the votes in the final round.

Model trains take center stage at Traintastic, a museum that opened its doors in 2023.

Traintastic does have a history on the Coast. The museum started as the Mississippi Coast Model Railroad Museum, a 7,000-square-foot tribute to all things related to train sets and locomotives. In its original form, the museum held holiday event called Snowyville.

Now that the museum has relocated to a 44,000-square-foot complex at 615 Pass Road, the holiday event features a trainride surrounded by two million twinkling lights.
