Haunted houses & pumpkin patches: List of fall and Halloween events on the MS Coast

It’s time for fall festivals and Halloween events in South Mississippi.

Several new events are on the schedule this year as families pick a pumpkin or wander through a maze at one of the many Coast pumpkin patches. Cemetery tours are a tradition on the Coast as is trunk-or-treat that started as a safe alternative after Hurricane Katrina and continues to be a great way to haul in a bag of candy.

Here’s where the fun is across the Coast:

Ongoing

Friday & Saturday plus Oct. 31 — Terror on the Coast, a Hollywood-style haunted house in The Warehouse, 3420 Giles Road, Gulfport. Tickets start at $25 per person. 7-11 p.m. Props used in the horror vignettes are from academy award winning TV and movie productions filmed in and around Mississippi and Louisiana.

Pumpkin patches

Thru Nov, 4 — Seward Farm Maze, 10836 Tanner Williams Road, Lucedale. Open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Haunt Hours are Oct. 21 & 28, 6-8:30 p.m. The farm has corn maze, pig races, funny farm golf, hayrides and cow train, tube slide and corn cannon, farm animals.

While pumpkins last — Trinity Pumpkin Patch, 125 Church Ave., Pass Christian.

Cemetery tours

Nov. 3-4 — Live Oak Cemetery Tour, 125 Church Ave., Pass Christian. Guided tours from 5-8 p.m. Among those who will be portrayed are the great grand-niece of President George Washington, two sailors on the U.S.S. Arizona during the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the socialite who hosted President Woodrow Wilson at the Dixie White House. Admission is $5 cash. 12 and under free.

Trunk or Treat

Oct. 31 — D’Iberville Trunk or Treat at the Bobby Eleuterius Sports Complex, 10706 Kajja Dr. Free. 5:30-7:30p.m.

Oct 31 — Chills & Thrills Trunk-or-Treat at Harrison County Fairgrounds, 15321 County Farm Road, Gulfport. All candy will be provided by the county supervisors. Free. 6-8 p.m.

Oct. 31 — Margaritaville’s Spooky Escape at 195 Beach Boulevard, Biloxi. Family-appropriate costume contest for adults and kids. with stays at Margaritaville Resort Biloxi and game cards among the prizes. 4-6 p.m. Trick or treating 5-8 p.m.

Oct. 30 — Halloween Bash at St. Martin Library, 15004 Lemoyne Blvd, Biloxi. Not-so-scary family Halloween Bash. Free. 3:30 p.m.

Oct. 31 — Rocky Horror Picture Show at Hard Rock Casino Biloxi. No masks and excessive face paint. 9 p.m.
