A hot air balloon festival is coming to this Gulf Coast resort. Here’s what we know.
The 19th annual Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival is returning to a popular spot on the Gulf Coast next month.
OWA Parks and Resorts in Foley, Alabama will be hosting the free-to-visit festival May 4-6 with a variety of entertainment options.
The event, named the 2021 Event of the Year by the Alabama Tourism Department, will feature 50 hot air balloons, live music, arts and crafts, balloon glows at dusk and even tethered hot air balloon rides.
The festival begins with the balloon glow kick-off event on Thursday, May 4 beginning at 5 p.m. and runs through 9 p.m. The festival will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
OWA also recently opened its expanded Tropic Falls water park, complete with a 30,000 square foot wave pool and over 20 rides.
