Scrapin The Coast returns this first official weekend of summer, the second of three big car shows of the year in South Mississippi.
This is the 20th year the low riders will cruise along Beach Boulevard, where fans will shout out and applaud their favorites. A car show and other events will be at the Coast Coliseum in Biloxi all weekend.
Among the other highlights of the weekend are Alan Jackson’s final tour at the Coliseum and Boz Scaggs at IP Casino, LGBTQ+ Pride Day at Point Cadet Park in Biloxi, the return of Crafts and Drafts competition at Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art and the Biloxi Shuckers Minor League Baseball team is home this weekend and next.
Crafts and Drafts at Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art, 386 Beach Blvd., Biloxi, 5:30-7:30 p.m. The return of the cutthroat mystery craft competition, sponsored by Lazy Magnolia. Free but RSVP required.

Sirens & Sailors event 1-4 p.m. at Marina Cantina, 705 U.S. 90, Ocean Springs. Live Auction with Krewe of Sirens own sailors, silent auction items provided by the krewe, costume contest for the best dressed in sirens, wayfaring nautical or sailor.
Freedom Tea from 2-4:30 p.m. at Kroc Center, 575 Division St., Biloxi. To raise funds for Whistle Stop, which provides temporary housing for women rescued from human trafficking and awaiting placement in a long term program and the Crisis Freedom Hotline. $30 per adult, $10 per child, $250 per table of 10 seats, $150 per table of 8 seats.

Exotic Animal Day at Mississippi Coast Model Railroad Museum, 522 Pass Road, Gulfport. Noon-5 p.m. Whisper of Hope will bring animals for an up close and personal look at owls, crow, snakes, turtles, and other area wildlife before taking a ride on the Swamp Train. Event is included in regular admission of $5 per adult and $2 per child.
Monday
Pass Christian Historical Society lunch features Dr. Christian Pinnen speaking on “Slavery in Colonial Natchez: Cotton, Race and Wealth Before the Old South.” At noon at Pass Christian Historical Society, 201 East Scenic Drive. $12 for lunch for members and $15 for non-members. Low riders converge on the Coast, with events at Coast Coliseum including car and truck show, vendors, bands, hydro and air bag competition, corn hole tournament, burn out contest, wild bikini contest, stereo competition and stereo sale.
