Celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month with this list of events on the Mississippi Coast

Pull out your rainbow flags, trans flags and gear. June is Pride Month, and there are dozens of events to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community on the Mississippi Coast.

Here’s a list of events happening this month. Mark your calendars now.

Ongoing: Drag bingo at 7 p.m. every Sunday at SIPPS, hosted by Estelle Suarez. Free.

Saturday, June 4

Gulfport, 11:55 p.m. — A $10 cover will gain you entry to Show Night with drag performances by Kayla Starr, Betty A. Essem, Toni Dee and Nicole Dubois at SIPPS, 2218 25th Ave.

Sunday, June 5

Gulfport, 4 p.m. — Gulf Coast Association of Pride (GCAP) will have an Illusions dinner show at Great Southern Club, 2510 14th St. in Gulfport. Cocktail hour will begin at 4 p.m. with dinner and the show immediately following. The show features impersonations of icons like Adele, Cher, Whitney Houston and Tina Turner. A portion of proceeds to benefit the Gulf Coast Association of Pride.

Friday, June 10

Gulfport, 8 p.m. to midnight — SIPPS at 2218 25th Ave. will host a Ladies Night and karaoke. The cover is $10.

Saturday, June 11

Ocean Springs, 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. — Join Ocean Springs Pride for a Pride Bike Ride. Join fellow bike enthusiasts at Maynard’s Music, 2209 Government St. for the bike decoration party with flags, stickers and giveaways.

Gulfport, 8 p.m. to midnight — Enjoy Ladies Night and karaoke at SIPPS, 2218 25th Ave. for a $10 cover.

Gulfport, 11:45 p.m. — Saturday’s show night at SIPPS, 2218 25th Ave., will feature Disco Divas. The cover for the midnight show is $10.

Sunday, June 12

Pascagoula, 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (doors open at 11 a.m.) — Fleur De Lis Bar & Grill will have a Pride Drag Brunch featuring their favorite Coast queens. Tickets are $45 and include brunch buffet and one well cocktail. Wear your best pride outfit for a chance to win prizes.

Friday, June 17

Biloxi, 6 p.m. — A Drag Dinner at One Thirty One Lameuse will benefit the Gulf Coast Association of Pride. The four-course meal includes seafood gumbo, wedge salad, steak with asparagus, garlic confit mash and compound butter and banana’s Foster a la mode. Tickets are $100 not including tax and gratuity. Ocean Springs, 8:30 p.m. — Drag Bingo Favorites Catastrophē Nicole Knight and Misty Bourdeaux Knight are back to bring the Cypress Taphouse down. Just pony up $30 to play, five dollars for additional cards. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Gulf Coast Equality Council. The taphouse is located at 6616 Rose Farm Road.

Gulfport, midnight— Lube wrestling is coming to SIPPS, 2218 25th Ave. Sign up for a match to win $200.

Saturday, June 18

Pascagoula, 11 p.m. — Adonis DeLorean will host Drag night at the Fleur De Lis Bar and Grill, 809 Ingalls Ave. Admission to the drag show is $12 for early bird online tickets and $15 at the door for those who are 21 and older. Patrons under 21 will pay a $20 cover.

Gulfport, midnight— Lexis will host a drag show featuring queens like TayTay and Zia at SIPPS, 2218 25th Ave. Cover is $10.

Tuesday, June 21

Biloxi, 6 p.m. — The Biloxi Shuckers invite you to A Night OUT at Shuckers Stadium. Buy the $17 general admission tickets on the Human Rights Campaign website and the Shuckers will donate $5 to the HRC.

Friday, June 24

Gulfport, 11 p.m. — SIPPS at 2218 25th Ave. will host a Gay Pride Kick Off Party with specials and giveaways all night. The cover is $10.

Saturday, June 25

Biloxi, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. — The Gulf Coast Association of Pride will hold the fourth annual Pride Day, a family-friendly event at the Point Cadet Splash Pad, 121 Cadet St. in Biloxi. The free event will feature arts and crafts; a drag show; and of course, the splash pad.

Gulfport, midnight — SIPPS at 2218 25th Ave. is in search of hot bodies. The contest winner gets $150 and a gift pack. The cover is $10.

Sunday, June 26

Gulfport, 11 a.m. — The Dragalicious Pride Gospel Brunch will be at SIPPS, 2218 25th Ave., and include performances by some of the Coast’s favorite queens. Admission is $40 and can be purchased online. Unlimited mimosas cost $15.

Gulfport, 7 p.m. — SIPPS at 2218 25th Ave. will have Pride Drag Bingo, hosted by Estelle Suarez. Free admission.
