What to do on MS Coast this weekend: Jeepin the Coast, Blueberry fest, more
It’s June and the summer event calendar is heating up in South Mississippi.
Highlights this weekend are the Red, White and Blueberry Festival Saturday in Ocean Springs, Funambula at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, dinosaurs at the Mississippi Aquarium in Gulfport and the first of three big car shows of the year on the Coast.
Jeepin The Coast rolls Wednesday through Sunday across the three Coast counties.
Jeep Central is at 506 Jeff Davis Ave. Long Beach, and the weekend is full of parties, a poker run, scavenger hunt and a Jeep only Mardi Gras style parade with beads Saturday at 6 p.m., starting at the Long Beach Town Green.

Friday
First Friday on Howard Avenue in downtown Biloxi and the art district. 5-9 p.m.
Happy Together Tour at 8 p.m. at IP Casino Biloxi with musicians playing their chart-topping hits from the ‘60s and ‘70s. Tickets start at $44.
Movies Under the Stars at 8:15 p.m. at Beach Park, Pascagoula. “Sing 2” will be shown at the free outdoor family movie night. Bring a chair, blanket and picnic basket, or concessions will be available for purchase.
Saturday
Red, White & Blueberry Festival at the L&N Depot parking lot in downtown Ocean Springs. Shop for antiques, crafts and fresh produce, including blueberry bushes and plenty of blueberry products. Cooking demonstrations. Free vanilla ice cream topped with blueberries or strawberries provided by Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Farmers market opens at 9 a.m. Free admission
Jefferson Davis’ Birthday Celebration from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Beauvoir, 2244 Beach Blvd., Biloxi. Tour guides in period-dress, presidential library, re-enactors. $12.50 adults, $10 seniors/military, $7.50 children age 6-18.
International Corgi Day ice cream social for Corgis and all well-behaved dogs at Cafe BoneJour, 146 Blaize Ave., Bay St Louis. 11 a.m.-1 p.m. $15 in advance, $20 cash only on day of event
Let’s Get Art-Sea! at Mississippi Aquarium, 2100 E. Beach Blvd., Gulfport. Create your own aquatic work of art and tour the aquarium. Classes 11 a.m.-1 p.m. or 2:30-4:30 p.m. $40 for members, $45 for non-members
Gulf Coast Spring Fest at 7 p.m. at Coast Coliseum, Biloxi. Kevin Gates, Jeezy, Monduhgoat and ROB49UP perform. Tickets start at $80
Thursday, June 9
Carl Fest honoring the life and legend of Carl the Rooster — the unofficial mascot of Ocean Springs — 5 p.m., Walter Anderson Museum of Art, 510 Washington St., Ocean Springs.
Multi-Day
June 3-5 — Mafia Murder Mystery Dinner Theater at St. Mary Catholic Church’s Murray Hall, 8343 Woolmarket Road, Biloxi. Presented by Mississippi Society of Italian Americans. 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 1 p.m. on Sunday. Ziti dinner includes a carafe of wine and bottled water at each table. $40 per person, $75 per couple
June 3-12 — WINGS presents Kimberly Akimbo at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, 246 Dolan Ave., Gulfport. Show is suggested for audiences 12 years old and up. Friday and Saturday 7:30 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets $15. Order online or call 228-897-6039
June 4-5 — Free Fishing Days in Mississippi when any state resident can sport fish without a license and permits to fish at state fishing lakes and state park lakes are not required.
June 6-12 — Mississippi Gulf Coast Billfish Classic at Golden Nugget Biloxi, 119 Beach Blvd, Biloxi. Anglers from across the country compete for $2 million in cash and prizes. Live entertainment for the spectators at the weigh scales Friday and Saturday evenings.
June 9-19 — Summer Fair at Coast Coliseum, Biloxi. Music, rides, vendors, food.

Thru June 23 — Funambula at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino Biloxi. Comedy daredevil Bello Nock leads an international cast in this cirque-style production. Shows Monday-Thursday at 7 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets start at $12.95.
Thru Oct. 2 —Dinosaurs Around the World exhibit at Mississippi Aquarium in Gulfport. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets include aquarium. Adults $29.95 Children $24.95 Seniors $26.95
Through Nov. 27 — Sightseeing Cruise & Dolphin Quest Friday at 4 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday at 1 p.m. aboard Ship Island Excursions. Board at Gulfport Small Craft Yacht Harbor, 1040 23rd Ave., Gulfport. 90-minute shoreline cruise on a quest for Atlantic bottle-nose dolphins.
