Mississippi Coast water parks are open for summer season. Here are the details.

Mississippi Coast water parks and community splash pads are opened on or before Memorial Day weekend to kick off summer fun.

Here’s a list of waterparks and all of the details, including amenities and ticket pricing:

Gulf Islands Waterpark off Interstate 10 in Gulfport sports a wave pool and Lazy Pearl River lazy river, along with several fast and curly slides and tamer water attractions for small kids.

The park is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily through July 31, and then weekends until Labor Day.

A season pass is $54.99 per person plus tax and fees, which is good for unlimited visits all summer.

General admission tickets prices vary by day and range from $31 to $45 over Memorial Day Weekend and $22-$27 for kids under 41 inches tall. Kids age 2 and under are free.

Midweek tickets generally are much lower. A waiver must be signed, and can be completed online to skip the line at the park.

Adjacent to the water park is Zip ‘N Fun Adventure Park, with ropes courses and ziplines for adults and children.

Buccaneer Bay Water Park at 1150 South Beach Boulevard overlooks the beach in Waveland and opened for the season on Saturday, May 28. It is open daily from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. through Aug. 1, then weekends through Labor Day.

The park’s wave pool can generate eight wave patterns, from deep ocean swells to body surfing waves. Ride six-foot waves on an innertube at Pirate’s Lagoon wave pool, or speed down one of the waterslides. Lil’ Smuggler’s Cove kiddie pool is for young children.

Coming this summer is Splash Island, a 5,000 square foot pool with three waterslides, giant buckets and interactive water features.

Ticket prices posted on the park website are $19 for adults and $13 for children under 48 inches tall. The twilight rate from 4-6 p.m. is $11 for adults and $9 for children under 48 inches. Non-participating rate is $6. Family season passes are available.

Flint Creek Water Park off Mississippi Route 29 at 1216 Parkway Dr., Wiggins, is about 35 miles north of the Coast.

Watertown USA has slides and tube rides using water recycled from the lake rather than chlorinated. The 650-acre lake is popular for swimming, boating and water skiing.

Water park hours are 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesdays, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sundays. The water park is closed Monday and Tuesday, except for Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends

Admission is $12, or $3 for kids under age 3 and observers. The price is rolled back on Wednesdays to $10 per person.
