Where to celebrate New Year’s Eve on the MS Coast: Fireworks, parties, casinos, more
You can celebrate the end of 2021 and welcome 2022 at these New Year’s Eve celebrations in South Mississippi.
Kids are included in the parties, with balloon drops at family-friendly hours at Margaritaville Resort Biloxi and Lynn Meadows Discovery Center.
New Yea’s Eve traditionally is one of the busiest nights of the year to dine out and most restaurants will be open. Reservations are highly recommended. The Coast casinos celebrate with balloon drops at midnight.
Here’s what is happening across the Coast:
Family events
Countdown to Noon at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, 246 Dolan Ave., Gulfport. Families celebrate early with music, snacks, a New Year’s craft, falling confetti and a ball drop at noon. The price is included with museum admission. 228-897-6039. 10 a.m.-noon.
Party and three balloon drops at Margaritaville Resort Biloxi — at 7 p.m. for little tykes, 9 p.m. for kids and midnight for all ages. DJ Zero Core from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Games at Escape Entertainment Center will be half price from 10 p.m. until closing.
Gulfport Harbor Lights. It’s the final night of the light show at Jones Park in Gulfport from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. More than 1.5 million lights can be seen on a walking tour or a heated trolley ride. $15 admission, $5 for ages 5-12. Free parking and shuttle service at Coast Transit Authority parking garage north at the part at 15th Street and 20th Avenue.
Fireworks and bonfire on the beach at Bay St. Louis at midnight.
Over 21 parties
New Year’s Bash & Casino Night at Pascagoula County Club, 7 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. $2100 jackpot (drawdown), raffle roulette, dart poker and dice game, wine pull and liquor cooler. DJ Tonnie, T-Ray’s Music Expressions, karaoke, dancing. Dinner plus beer, wine and dessert included. $50 per person
Countdown Party with the KOS Krewe of Sirens, 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Frank Gruich Community Center, 591 Howard Ave., Biloxi. Entertainment acts from around the nation and dancing.
New Year’s Eve Party at Hinge Cocktail Lounge at Pearl Hotel, Bay St. Louis. Begins at 8 p.m. with live music by Zac Holliday. Party favors and champagne toast.
New Year’s Eve Bash at Big Play Entertainment Center, Biloxi, 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Live music by The NOLA Dukes Band and music by DJ Shirocco and Lady Melinda (also the hosts). Three levels of tickets that start at $50 for single and $80 for couple with drinks, bowling and unlimited arcade play, up to $120 for single and $220 for couple with prime rib dinner and late night breakfast buffet.
Party and Oyster Drop at 200 N. Beach Restaurant, Bay St. Louis. Jim Breland & the NOLA Connection with Frank Fairbanks, Jules Albarado and Becca Doughty perform from 8:30 p.m. until the oyster drop at midnight. Tickets sell fast. VIP tickets available for $50.
A White House Affair New Year’s Eve Party at Cora’s at White House Hotel in Biloxi. Live DJ, champagne toast and a special New Year’s Eve menu at Cora’s. 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
New Year’s Party starting at 10 p.m. at The Juke Joint, 1911 Government St., Ocean Springs, with dance party/club mix songs.
Casino entertainment
Casino-wide Celebration at Harrah’s Gulf Coast, Biloxi from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The theme is New Year’s Eve Under the Sea and the party will be a night of surprises with live dancers, a video DJ, live mermaids and a free casino-wide champagne toast at midnight.
The Molly Ringwalds perform at Beau Rivage Theatre, Biloxi. Doors open at 9:30 p.m. Show from 10:30 p.m. to midnight. Party favors and champagne toast. Tickets start at $24.95.
“Fire & Ice” Parties at EIGHT75 at Beau Rivage Casino, Biloxi, 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Live music by Dian Diaz, complimentary champagne toast and party favors. $40 per person, includes a beverage of choice. VIP Tables available.
Ice Party at Black Clover Lounge and Topgolf Swing Suite, Beau Rivage Resort and Casino, Biloxi, 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. with DJ Hyphee. Complimentary toast and party favors. $25 per person. VIP tables available.
New Year’s Eve Party at IP Casino Biloxi. Countdown with champagne toast and party favors on the casino floor at midnight. Chill will be open 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. with a live DJ, party favors and a souvenir disco ball drink cup. Cover charge is $65 and tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis beginning at 8 p.m.
New Year’s Entertainment at Hard Rock Casino Biloxi. Entertainment by the band After Party and DJ Dor Roc. Doors open at 9 p.m. $50. Champagne and party favors at midnight.
New Year’s Eve party at Island View Casino, Gulfport. Entertainment from 1 p.m. 5 p.m. by Lisa Lee Albritton Band, 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. by Brandon Green Band and 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. by The Old School.
