Waterfront fireworks display planned in Biloxi to kick off Labor Day weekend

Harrah’s Gulf Coast and The Blind Tiger Biloxi Beach are partnering to provide a fireworks display on Sept. 4.

The display, which is set to be begin at 8 p.m., is intended to kick off Labor Day weekend celebrations on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

An executive order signed by Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves limits outdoor gatherings to 20 people with minimum social distancing of 6 feet between people not in the same household.

The state’s health department recommends staying in your vehicle and avoiding interactions with others while attending fireworks displays.

There was a clear increase in COVID-19 cases in Mississippi following the July 4 weekend.

The event will take place in front of The Great Lawn, which is 10.5 acres of green space located in front of Harrah’s in Biloxi.

People are invited to arrive beginning at 6 p.m.
