Biloxi will have to wait for its KISS concert

It was supposed to happen in March and then during Cruisin’ The Coast in October until the coronavirus knocked Biloxi’s KISS concert into next year.

The band announced this week that the concert — part of the rock group’s End of the Road Tour — is rescheduled for Oct. 5, 2021.

That’s still during Cruisin’ The Coast and it’s still planned for the Coast Coliseum.

Other concerts scheduled this year at the Coliseum already were moved to next year. They include:

March 20 — Mercy Me

July 10 — Reba

Sept. 18 — Chris Stapleton

KISS frontmen Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons were planning to cut the ribbon on their planned Rock & Brews casino in East Biloxi before the March concert.

Plans for the casino are still under way, said Tom Moore, who is among those working to transform the former Margaritaville Casino into a rock and roll restaurant, hotel, and casino.
