Whether the weather outside is frightful or delightful, Coastians love their libations, and what better time to celebrate than during the holidays?

Several Coast night spots are offering drink specials that take advantage of holiday flavors or provide warmth with a kick for chilly or foggy evenings. Here are just a few of them. Of course, as always, party responsibly and have a designated driver if you plan to really celebrate.

Bay St. Louis 200 North Beach Restaurant and Bar

If you’re in the Bay, head over to 200 North Beach Restaurant and Bar and try out one of the drinks made from their from-scratch eggnog. One example is the Christmas Martini, which combines RumChatta, Crown Royal Vanilla and that homemade eggnog. One of the bartenders also can whip up another holiday treat, a classic Tom & Jerry (variations have been around since the 1820s): a comforting mug of eggnog, rum and brandy.

Biloxi Margaritaville

For adults who need a little holly jolly here, the family-friendly resort’s Lost Key Bar offers the Mistletoe Cocktail, featuring creme de menthe, hazelnut liqueur and Rumchata. Those colors should get you in the spirit in no time.

Gulfport Rackhouse Steaks & Spirits

The Edmund Fitzgerald is on the Rackhouse’s year-round libations menu, but it’s perfect for this time of year. Served in an Irish coffee mug, it’s Old Camp Peach & Pecan Whiskey, maple simple syrup and coffee topped with house-made bourbon vanilla whipped cream. Watch the fog roll in from one of the windows in their upstairs bar.

The Shrimp Basket

Did you know this seafood restaurant, part of a regional chain, offers monthly, seasonal drink specials? This month, grown ups can enjoy a Naughty or Nice Margarita (tequila, cranberries and citrus sour), Jingle Bell Juice (vodka, cranberries, apple and orange juice) or Kahlua Peppermint Hot Chocolate. Kids or adults who want a festive drink with no alcohol can opt for a Candy Cane Cooler (a striped frozen cherry peppermint drink) or Ho Ho Ho Hot Chocolate (hot chocolate, peppermint-cherry syrup, whipped cream and a candy cane for dunking).

Ocean Springs The Office Bar and Lounge

The Office is a popular watering hole in downtown Ocean Springs, and they’re certainly not ignoring the holiday season. Mixologists here are offering eight — yes, eight — festive drinks, including Christmas Mule (Tito’s vodka, ginger beer, cranberry, lime); Jameson Irish Cider (Jameson Irish whiskey and apple cider); Poinsettia (Tito’s, Zonin Prosecco and cranberry); Pumpkin Pie Shot (RumChatta and pumpkin pie liqueur); Winter White Cosmo (Grey Goose Vodka, Cointreau, St. Germain, white cranberry and lime); S’mores Martini (Absolut Vanilla vodka, Irish cream, Godiva Chocolate liqueur; creme de cacao, cream and marshmallows); Death by Chocolate (Absolut, Godiva and cream) and a fall favorite, a cocktail featuring Absolut, pumpkin pie liqueur and creme de cacao.
