Families don’t have to wait for the next snowfall in South Mississippi — it will snow during every performance of “Christmas on Ice” at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino Dec. 15-25.

The show is a family experience where the grandparents have as much fun as the kids. Everyone a chance to dress warmly in their Christmas sweaters and take family photos in the Beau Rivage atrium amid sparkling white lights, more than 2,000 poinsettias, 150 decorated trees and animated holiday decor.

This year’s show is Christmas journey, said Mary Cracchiolo Spain, regional director of public relations at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino.

“It’s really a magic snowglobe come to life,” she said. Charlie the elf arrives from the North Pole and takes the audience on an adventure. At the end, some kids from the audience will be asked aboard Santa’s sleigh ride.

Rand Productions returns with the holiday tradition, along with a cast of singers and world-class acts, Christmas music and elaborate costumes.

“If you take a look at the cast bios, you’ll see this year we have more world-level skaters and gold medalists than before, and we have more than just skaters in the show,” said producer Jeb Rand, president and executive producer for Rand Enterprises & Productions.

Shows are presented twice daily at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. — even on Christmas. Tickets are available at the Beau Rivage box office, by calling 228-386-7111 or at beaurivage.com.

Tickets start at $12.95 plus tax and service fees. A package of four tickets is $40 with the offer code: Christmas, or $30 for active duty and retired military who show their military ID.

Families can add to the experience by dining at The Buffet, where kids age 12 and under are treated to a free meal with show ticket. The Beau’s arcade will offer double redemption vouchers for each show ticket purchased. The Promenade of shops celebrates a Holiday Shopping Spectacular runs through Saturday, offering samples of gourmet treats, decorative window displays and visits with some of the artists whose work is for sale in the stores.
