The Gulfport Music Festival returns to South Mississippi after being on hiatus for a few years.

The Alpha Media-sponsored concert is a two-day festival that kicks off at 4:30 p.m. on Friday at Jones Park in Gulfport.

Here’s what you need to know about this year’s festival.

The return of 3 Doors Down

The the rock band from Escatawpa dropped their seventh album “Us and the Night” in the spring of 2016. The band last played the Coast when they headlined two nights at the IP Casino Resort in April 2016.

3 Doors Down will headline the Gulfport Music Festival on Friday.


Actor and rapper Ludacris (Christopher Bridges) will headline Saturday’s show. Ludacris is featured on the new single “Everything” with Tank and Trey Songz.

Two-day passes are $45 and are available at Ticketmaster.com and at the gate.

Where do I park?

Parking is available for $5 in the CTA parking garage on 15th Street. It includes a shuttle service to Jones Park.

What can I bring?
