Married to the King: Priscilla Presley will bring intimate Elvis discussion to Biloxi
Their marriage was, at the time, an American fairy tale — a beautiful young woman living with her family in Germany meets, dates and eventually marries a handsome rock star who was serving his country with a stint in the U.S. Army.
Priscilla Wagner was only 14 when she met Elvis Presley, the Mississippi native who would be crowned the “King of Rock ’n’ Roll.” They married in 1967 and although they would be divorced by 1973, their marriage was legendary.
On Friday, Priscilla Presley will give people on the Coast a glimpse into her private life with Elvis. “Elvis and Me: An Open Conversation with Priscilla Presley” will hit the stage at 8 p.m. on Friday at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino. Tickets start at $19 and are available at Ticketmaster.com.
The couple had one child, Lisa Marie, who was born in 1968.
Elvis died in August 1977. Priscilla is the president of Elvis Presley Enterprises, which oversees the upkeep of the couple’s Memphis home Graceland as well the licensing on Elvis’ image and music.
