Brett Favre has returned to Green Bay for the first time since he left the Packers in 2007, multiple reports said on Monday.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that Favre will attend a tribute to Hall of Famer Bart Starr that will benefit a boys ranch. Starr is recovering from a stroke and will not attend.
Former 49ers quarterback Steve Young is also expected to attend the event billed as a “Chalk Talk Luncheon” to benefit the Rawhide Boys Ranch, which was founded by Starr. The event will take place at Brett Favre's Steakhouse.
There were no plans for Favre to attend Monday night's game between the Packers and Atlanta Falcons in Green Bay.
Never miss a local story.
The Packers plan to retire Favre's No. 4 in 2015.
