The New Orleans Saints announced via their Facebook page that their club facilities will be open to players as of 9 a.m. this morning.
Players can report for physicals and voluntary strength and conditioning and trading between teams can begin for the 2011 season.
Rosters have been expanded to a 90-man limit and clubs can begin negotiating and signing both drafted and undrafted rookies.
While contracts can be signed, the league reminded teams that any contract will be binding but will not take effect until after the collective bargaining agreement is ratified. The vote on that is Aug. 4.
In addition, clubs can negotiate with but may not sign or extend offer sheets to unrestricted or restricted free agents, exclusive rights players and franchise players, or other teams' such players.
