Biloxi Shuckers closer Jaye Chapman was promoted to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Wednesday after dominating the Southern League through the first month of the season.
Chapman had a Southern League-leading 10 saves in 12 appearances this season. The Panama City, Fla., native allowed only two hits in 11.1 innings and had an ERA of 0.00.
Chapman showed impressive control, striking out 15 and walking none.
Chapman is looking to get back to the big leagues after he underwent double-hip surgery in 2013. He had a 3.75 ERA in 14 appearances with the Chicago Cubs in 2012.
