A pair of strong performances at the MHSAA State Track and Field Meet in Pearl have earned the Sun Herald Player of the Week honors.
St. Patrick senior Ramsey Wagner is the Girls Player of the Week and senior Chandler Underwood of East Central is the Boys Player of the Week.
Wagner, who is set to attend the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, claimed four gold medals to lead the St. Patrick girls to a third-place finish in Class 3A. Three of her gold medals were individual honors - the 800-, 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs.
Wagner was also a member of the 4x800-meter relay squad that took first place.

Wagner ran a personal best time in the 800 meters at 2:28.35.
Underwood claimed the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs in Class 4A. He won the 1,600-meter run by more than 12 seconds and the 3,200-meter run by almost 32 seconds.
Underwood ran the 1,600 meters in 4:40.25 and 3,200 meters in 10:03.13.
Underwood placed fifth in the 800-meter run.
