A pair of solid pitching performances have earned George County baseball star Walker Robbins and West Harrison softball's Stephanie Necaise the Sun Herald Players of the Week honors.
Necaise is the Girls Player of the Week after giving up no earned runs in 15 innings in a pair of Class 5A playoff wins over Picayune.
Necaise struck out eight and allowed one unearned run in a 2-1 win over Picayune in eight innings on April 26.
She helped the Lady Hurricanes clinch the first-round series by throwing seven shutout innings in a 1-0 win over Picayune two days later. She struck out 10 in the second game.

West Harrison was set to play Brookhaven in the second round starting on Monday night.
Robbins is the Boys Player of the Week after throwing a one-hitter in a 4-0 win over Pearl on Friday night in game one of the Class 6A second-round series.
The Mississippi State signee struck out nine and walked none to improve to 6-1. Robbins has a 0.40 ERA in 52 2/3 innings.
