Ole Miss’ football staff is back at capacity for the 2017 football season after interim coach Matt Luke announced Friday that Jack Bicknell Jr. has been added to the staff as the offensive line coach.
Bicknell is a veteran NFL and college coach, dating back to his first job at Boston College in 1985. Since then, Bicknell climbed the ranks, with stops at New Hampshire, Louisiana Tech, the New York Giants, Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers and Miami Dolphins, which was his last job back during the 2014-15 season.
Bicknell served as Louisiana Tech’s head coach from 1999-2006. Outside of that stint, he has almost exclusively coached the offensive line dating back to 1993.
“We are excited to add Coach Bicknell’s experience and expertise to our staff,” Luke said in a release. “Being a former head coach, he brings a perspective that I look forward to having in our coaches’ meetings. As a Super Bowl champion, his track record gives him instant credibility with our linemen, and I can’t wait to see his impact with the players.”
