The University of Miami Hurricanes introduced Gino DiMare the 10th head baseball coach in UM history on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. He replaces Jim Morris, who retired after 25 seasons leading the program.
Athlon Sports released its preseason All-America team. The list, which includes 108 players split between four teams, had 22 players from the Big Ten, 21 from the SEC and 19 from the ACC. The team was put together based on 2018 projections.
Three-star offensive tackle Ja’quay Hubbard (Sharpsville, Pennsylvania) cut his options down to four on Tuesday. Hubbard (6-6, 320 pounds) listed Mississippi State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Virginia as his top four schools.
Four-star strong-side defensive end Jaren Handy (Hattiesburg, Mississippi) committed to Auburn on Monday. The 6-5, 278-pound Handy committed to the Tigers over the likes of Alabama and Ole Miss and had previously been committed to LSU.
Four-star wide receiver Keveon Mullins (Memphis) announced his final four schools. The 6-3, 210-pound Mullins has Georgia, Louisville, Memphis and South Carolina as his top schools. Mullins is rated the 11th-best player in Tennessee.
Four-star offensive tackle Xavier Truss committed to Georgia on Father’s Day. The 6-8, 350-pound Truss is considered the best player in Rhode Island and the 15th overall offensive tackle, per 247Sports. Experts expected Truss to commit to Penn State.

Three-star offensive tackle Carter Colquitt (Buford, Georgia) committed to Ole Miss. The 6-5, 300-pound Colquitt chose the Rebels over the likes of N.C. State and Auburn. Colquitt is considered the 98th-best player in Georgia, per 247Sports
