Seven Coast players signed National letters of intent on Wednesday, National Signing Day.
The two biggest names came from Long Beach, as linebacker Richie Brown and defensive tackle Nick James both signed with Mississippi State.
Brown was named the Sun Herald's football player of the year and athlete of the year. James is no longer enrolled in Long Beach.
Southern Miss landed three Coast standouts, one of the school's top recruiting traditions, signing Vancleave linebacker Jerry McCorvey, Poplarville wide receiver Jarell Aaron and Harrison Central center Brandon Farmer. McCorvey and Farmer were both All-South Mississippi selections.
Other local standouts who signed Wednesday came from Gulfport: linebacker Jamison Goins (Delta State) and wide receiver Travon Travis (Southeastern Louisiana).
