Pay attention to children

We just got home from taking a group of 12 children (ages 10 years-3 months) trick-or-treating down and around Courthouse Rd. I was amazed how inconsiderate drivers were of the children out. We stopped one car from hitting three of the children and the woman gave us a very vulgar gesture. People, please be considerate of the children out on this one night out of the year! The penalty for hitting a child is much worse than the few seconds it would take you to slow down!

Don’t put trash on graves

For all the people who have their loved ones buried at St. Stephens cemetery in Delisle. I can’t understand why some people take trash off of their family’s graves and put it on the grave or behind headstones of others. This is so disrespectful! Why can’t you bring a garbage bag from home to place your trash in and take it home and put it in your garbage can? How would you like me to place trash on your family member’s grave or behind their headstone? Stop being lazy and disrespectful! If you don’t want the trash on your family’s grave, what makes you think someone else wants it on theirs? I have witnessed this over and over again for many years. Shame on you for disrespecting the dead.

Fill in pet’s information

If you have your pet microchipped at the Humane Society of South Mississippi, please make sure to log on and enter your pet’s information. Just a warning to make sure to check that your pet’s info is there when you need it to be.

People need

They say we’re not getting a raise because the cost of living hasn’t gone up. Well, please explain to me why then is rent, food, water, electricity all going up and will be going up again. So what do they consider all these things if they’re not part of the cost of living? Many are trying with everything they have not to lose everything due to loss of a job or someone extremely ill in the family or both, so let’s make it harder. Let’s make sure the middle-class people end up on the bottom. Let’s make sure they lose everything while we help other countries stay afloat, while we say no to increases.

Who is selling our name?

What gives? We bought a used vehicle from an individual. A week after we got the title in the mail, we also got a “Final Notice” to extend our warranty on this vehicle. Who’s selling our name — the DMV or our insurance company?
