A state inmate who failed to return from a 72-hour pass to Pass Christian has been captured in Gulfport, officials said.
Don Brown was caught by Gulfport police about 9:30 p.m. Monday, said Tara Booth with the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
He was on leave from the Leake County jail in Carthage and failed to return to the facility Monday, she said.
Brown is serving a 10-year sentence from Harrison County for possession and delivery of controlled substances.

He will be taken to the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility in Pearl and faces an additional five-year sentence if convicted of escape.
