The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a hard freeze warning for tonight.
The warning covers Harrison, Hancock and Jackson counties and goes from 11 p.m. today through 9 a.m. Saturday.
Temperatures will fall quickly after sunset and will be below freezing by 9 p.m. and will be in the mid-20s by midnight. The hard freeze is expected to last between four and six hours.
People living in the areas covered by the warning should protect their outdoor pipes and plants.
