Harrison County Emergency Manager Rupert Lacy at 11:30 a.m. urged residents to stay off the road if at all possible. A tornado warning is about to expire but he said another will likely be issued because another feeder band is moving into the county. A squall has brought heavy rains and gusty winds into the county. "We have several roads with water and ponding issues that make it unsafe to be travelling," Lacy said.
Also, D'Iberville officials say Lamey Bridge Road is closed between Johnson Still Road and Lickskillet Road due to water spilling over northbound and southbound lanes. Clay Jones, the city's public informaton officer, said residents in that area and other low-lying areas should remain on alert.
