Homicide victim Philomena Roberts, 44, has been identified as the woman killed at her D'Iberville residence this morning, the coroner has told the Sun Herald.
Roberts died of a gunshot wound to the chest, said Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove.
Police Chief Wayne Payne said the call came in at 4:52 a.m. from the 100 block of Forest Drive, where the woman's husband called for medical help.
She was dead when emergency responders arrived at the home, Hargrove said.
