Two convicted felons are in custody today, charged with capital murder in connection with the March 5 stabbing death of a wheelchair-bound woman at her home.
Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd said robbery was the motive in the stabbing death of Donna Renee Slater, 46.
Arrested and charged with capital murder were Joe Anthony Loggins, 41, and Johnny Lee Townsend, 44.
Both men are being held at the Jackson County jail. County Court Judge T. Larry Wilson denied bonds for both men.
