Harrison County District 5 Supervisor Connie Rockco is running for mayor of Biloxi.
Rockco, a Republican who has been on the Board of Supervisors since 2000, said earlier today she planned to talk with candidate Rep. Michael Janus and then make a decision on whether to run.
Rockco told the Sun Herald she made the 5 p.m. filing deadline by 30 seconds.
Another name rumored to be in the race, FoFo Gillich, did not file qualifiying papers by the deadline.
Rockco will be in a race against incumbent Mayor A.J. Holloway and Janus, both Republicans, and Democratic candidate Jesse Herron Kennedy Jr.
