Q: I have seen and am looking for an almost pure white marble tile for a bathroom fllor, it can have grey streaks and such. I have seen this tile often in pictures and movies, and see it often at home centers as a threshold for between surfaces but I haven't seen it anywhere as a 12 by 12 tile. Are you familiar with what I am talking about and do you carry it?
Answered 04/03/06 15:46:23 by Inside Outside
A: There are two different forms of White Marble. One is pure white and the other has light to medium gray veining. We work with them both. They are also available in slab form for counter tops or tub decking. If you know the quantity needed (square feet)for your bathroom floor, we would be happy to provide you with a quote. Thank you for your inquiry.Submitted by L. Necaise from Gulfport
Q: If I choose a natural product such as you sell for a counter or floor, how are damages such as broken or scratched marble repaired? Thank you.
Answered 05/09/05 18:56:37 by Inside Outside
A: Marble (not granite)is a fragile material in its raw state. Once the material is fabricated and installed, breakage is very unlikely. However, if it does occur, it can be repaired (depending on the severity of the break). Unfortunitly, we do not repair broken marble. In most cases it is easier to remake the piece, matching your material as close as possible. If the surface is scratched or etched, that would require special equipment that my company does not have. I could refer you on in that case.Submitted by CED from Lake Charles, Louisiana
Q: A funny odor lingers in the hall of my home everytime we flush the toilet in the hall bathroom and cut on the vent. Is there a leak in my walls? What could it be?!!

A: Our expertise in Kitchen and Bath is limited to design. I am afraid we can not help you. You may want to contact a licensed home inspector.Submitted by Julie from Ocean Springs

Q: I have a problem with hot water. It takes at least a full minute to get hot water to the kitchen. After you shut the faucet off it will cool down after a very short time and you have to start all over again. I just turned the temperature up to max on the heater but I am wondering if you have any ideas.

A: I would recommend you call a plumber.Submitted by C. Ladner from Diamondhead
Q: Other than the country of origin, what's the difference between Spanish and Italian flooring like ceramic tile?
Answered 03/22/05 13:42:14 by Inside Outside
A: We do not deal in ceramic tile, only natural stone. Therefore, I am not qualified to answer that question.Submitted by Vance from Biloxi, MS
Q: I have sheet vinyl tile on my bathroom floor. If I want to put down a new floor covering, does the old vinyl have to come up or can it be covered over with the new vinyl?
Answered 03/07/05 22:54:19 by Inside Outside
A: We do not provide vinyl flooring, however, if you chose a natural stone tile the old vinyl would need to be removed.Submitted by Jay Harmon from Pass Christian, MS
Q: How do your prices compare with custom built cabinetry? Wouldn't custom built fit better than factory cabinets?
Answered 03/01/05 14:02:31 by Inside Outside
A: Our prices can be very comparable to site built cabinetry. It all depends on which one of our four factory lines you are designing with. We have cabinetry that will fit into any budget. As far as the fit, I would say that building within 1/32" of an inch is pretty tight. With factory, custom cabinetry such as our Brookhaven and Woodmode lines, we can design almost anything to fit within any dimensions. So, you can safely say that factory built cabinetry can be custom.Submitted by Leslie from gulfport, ms
Q: Is design consultant work included in your prices or is that an additional charge with your services? Do you come out to homes to evaluate and make estimates?
Answered 02/18/05 14:01:33 by Inside Outside
A: That all depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking to completely remodel your kitchen (including cabinetry), we have a design fee that is credit back towards the purchase of our cabinetry. This includes a trip to the job site and a full set of computer generated plans and elevations. If you are only wanting to replace your counter tops, we will be happy to assist you with material selection in our showroom by appointment.Submitted by Cheryl from Gulfport, MS
