Q: Mr. Hammer-I just found out Coach Boudreaux was head coach of the Capitols. How long has he been there? Does he have a long future with them?
Answered 05/09/08 07:17:12 by Don Hammack
A: Bruce Boudreau was named interim coach of the Washington Capitals on Thanksgiving day, and the team later removed the "interim" tag after the Caps started having success. They finished the season as one of the hottest teams in the league, squeaking into the playoffs on the final day of the season. They were dumped in Game 7 of the opening round by Philadelphia, and the Flyers are still alive in the Eastern Conference Finals. Boudreau was voted a finalist for the Jack Adams Award awarded to the coach of the year. As far as a long future, coaches are hired to be fired, especially in the ever-fickle NHL. But Gabby is off to a great start to an NHL coaching career that was a long time coming.Submitted by Jared from Prescott, AZ
Q: Hammer, what's your predicition on the Champions League Final?

A: I like Liverpool to pull another Champions League shocker, and ManU to bounce back from a short run of poor form and advance to Moscow.Submitted by Doug from Gulfport, Miss.
Q: Don, first thing, I do believe I saw a smile from you at the St. John's International Festival this past weekend - so that's good. Second, as a submariner, did you ever spend any time training up in upstate NY - near Saratoga?
Answered 04/28/08 09:24:59 by Don Hammack
A: You probably did see a smile. It happens. And nope, never in Saratoga. My training stops were Newport, R.I. (OCS); Orlando, Fla. (Nuclear Power School); Charleston, S.C. (prototype) and Groton, Conn. (Sub School).Submitted by Raine Ruhin from Houston TX
Q: HAMMER! I have a quick question. I was at ok and had the pirates/dodgers game on. I wasn't paying real close attention but heard "From Ocean Springs, MS" from the announcer. Who from OS plays for one of those teams?
Answered 04/17/08 14:53:28 by Don Hammack
A: They were probably talking about former Mississippi State pitcher Paul Maholm, who now plays for the Pirates. He married a girl from Ocean Springs and I belive they bought a house there. He's originally from Greenwood.Submitted by GulfCoast Golf Fan from Long Beach, MS
