Things to do to outside of your home as the storm approaches:

Close shutters, lash down awnings, tape windows and sliding glass doors, board up windows

Bring in anything that could blow around: toys, bicycles, garbage cans, furniture, grills.

Lower your TV antenna, but first unplug the television.

Turn off power to the pool pump, lights and chlorinator. If the pump is exposed, wrap with a waterproof cover and tie securely.

Do not empty the pool of water.

Trim dead branches from trees and shrubs.
