In response to Gary Taylor’s “Flags at full-staff were a disgrace” letter (June 26):
I was personally horrified at the mass murder in Orlando, but I don’t feel it’s any more of a tragedy to be murdered in a nightclub than on a battlefield in a foreign country or in the line of duty as a police officer protecting a community. Or as an unarmed person in a mother’s womb waiting to enter this troubled world.
Why don’t we all lower our flags to half-staff and leave them there until we can all respect human life?
I believe all lives matter, none more than others, and there will be an accounting some great day for each and every one.
Never miss a local story.
