The Mississippi Sound is full of sewage, but I can’t understand why.
Here’s an example of my water bill: $14.70 for water usage, $26.55 for sewer collection and $24.66 for sewage treatment. Obviously, the sewage is not getting collected and, therefore, isn’t getting treated.
What are the city of Gulfport and the city of Biloxi doing with the money? I live one block from the Sound, pay enormous taxes and a ridiculous water bill, yet can’t enjoy the Sound, much less let my children get in the water.
I want an explanation. I think it’s petition time, and let’s get the EPA involved.
Never miss a local story.
