GULFPORT -- A convicted felon from Gulfport was in custody this morning, charged with drug and weapons violations.

Harrison County Sheriff Melvin Brisolara said Annette Marie Christie, 25, of Carlton Cuevas Road, initially was arrested Friday on a misdemeanor warrant for a traffic offense. After a search, sheriff’s deputies reported finding a small amount of crack cocaine and a weapon on Christie.

She was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Harrison County Justice Court Judge Gene Dedeaux set Christie’s bond at $75,000.
