GULFPORT — Circuit Judge Roger Clark today sentenced Earl Lee Braziel of Gulfport to 20 years for manslaughter in the fatal shooting of Jessie Orlando Dedeaux.

The judge suspended five years, leaving 15 years to serve, followed by five years’ probation, said Assistant District Attorney George Huffman.

Braziel, 28, was charged with murder after Dedeaux was fatally shot in the head on Pondersosa Drive in Gulfport on Dec. 13, 2006. Dedeaux was 24.

The Sun Herald gives details of the case in Saturday’s editions.
