A judge this afternoon found probable cause for a grand jury to hear the capital murder case against Mark Anthony Rice.

Rice is the truck driver accused of trying to set his rig afire as he stayed in the cab with the remains of his girlfriend.

Hancock County Sheriff’s investigator Ricky Fayard said Rice admitted he had been on crystal meth for several days and his girlfriend died during an act of rough sex in Barksdale, Calif., He drove her body here so he could say goodbye to his family.

Justice Court Judge Jay Legasse ordered Rice to remain in custody without bond. He is also under a suicide watch.
