GULFPORT - Police Chief Alan Weatherford said a section of Dedeaux Rd. is closed for cleanup of a sludge spill. Weatherford, about 8:40 a.m., said a truck owned by W.C. Fore Trucking Inc. spilled a mile long stretch of sludge. Dedeaux is closed from Latimer to Lorraine Rd.

A motorcycle crashed in the middle of the sludge. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that did not appear life-threatening.
