D'IBERVILLE -- A valve in the city's water well leaked a minimal amount of chlorine before it was capped off today, Earl Etheridge with the state Department of Environmental Quality said.

Firefighters went to the well at Rudy Moran Park on Lamey Bridge Road around shortly after a worker reported the leak around 12:20 p.m. today.

The firefighters were able to cap off the valve to seal the leak minutes later.
