Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves was honored this week with a Champion of Small Business award from the National Coalition for Capital, a release from his office today said.
His office said Reeves was one of 35 individuals from across the nation recognized for their leadership at the annual National Coalition for Capital Awards. Lt. Gov. Reeves was not able to attend the ceremony.
"In Mississippi, we work diligently to create an environment that gets government out of the way so small businesses can grow and invest capital in our communities," Reeves said. "I appreciate the National Coalition for Capital for presenting me with this honor."
The National Coalition for Capital is a nonprofit, nationwide coalition of leaders supporting economic development and job creation through long-term access to capital for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
