Are you a college graduate living in Mississippi? Do you have crippling student loan debt? This website says they have a perfect solution for you — if you’re into “Sugar Daddies” and “Cougars.”
SeekingArrangement is an online dating service that connects young adults with “Sugar Daddies” (or “Mamas”) who can help them financially.
And college students in Mississippi are really cashing in on the help. Hundreds of students at Ole Miss have signed up to be “Sugar Babies” on the SeekingArrangement website.
Brie Christian, public relations coordinator for SeekingArrangement, said said the University of Mississippi is ranked No. 43 in the country of “top Sugar Baby universities,” which “outlines where the fastest growing populations of student Sugar Babies are attending college.”
Never miss a local story.
Christian said the average student in Mississippi leaves college with $30,000 in student loan debt. The average Sugar Daddy provides a $2,800 monthly allowance.
“It is easy to understand why two million students in the U.S. are taking this unconventional route to financial freedom,” Christian said in the release.
According to the site, the percentage of students with loan debt is greater than those employed in a full-time job with their degree.
“The real epidemic for students with loan debt is underemployment, which, according to recent numbers, is very close to 50 percent,” the site read. “It is becoming increasingly difficult for students to attend college and transition into the ‘real world’ with a viable means of repaying their newly acquired debt.”

What is an arrangement, you ask?
“An arrangement is where people are direct with one another and stop wasting time. It allows people to immediately define what they need and want in a relationship. Our profiles allow members to effortlessly state their expectations. This is what we like to call Relationships on Your Terms,” the SeekingArrangement website says.
Men and women can sign up and create profiles.
